How should we store and display our wedding cake on the day?Updated 4 hours ago

  • Keep the cake level at all times during transport
  • The cake can be on display all day as long as the room stays below 25°C and out of direct sunlight
  • For outdoor summer events, the cake can typically be displayed for 3 to 5 hours in higher heat, but should be monitored
  • If the cake has been refrigerated, take it out at least 3 to 6 hours before cutting so the sponge and buttercream can come fully to room temperature
  • Once cut, remaining slices must go straight into an airtight container
  • Multi-tier cakes have internal plastic dowels that must be removed before cutting — these are not for consumption
  • Fresh flowers are decorative only and should not be eaten
