What are the new Cutter & Squidge Nationwide Covered Celebration Cakes?Updated 4 days ago
Our new Cutter & Squidge Nationwide Covered Celebration Cakes are three extraordinary, fully covered celebration cakes — now available for delivery across the whole of Mainland UK for the very first time.
Our fully covered cakes have long been a favourite with our London customers, and we've spent serious time perfecting the recipes and specially engineered packaging to make sure they travel beautifully from our London bakery to your door, wherever you are in the UK.
Each cake features soft, light sponges, indulgent flavour-packed fillings, and a smooth buttercream exterior finished with gorgeous, handcrafted decorations. They come in two sizes, small and medium and serve groups of up to 19, and are available year-round as part of our permanent core collection.
The small cake is approx 6 inches and Medium approx 8 inches.
These cakes can be delivered via Standard Delivery courier (DPD) and we strongly recommend ordering for delivery the day before any special day to avoid any disappointment if DPD have a delay. They are 95% successful to deliver on the named date but this is not guaranteed and subject to their delays.
We have designed a special cake box with extra insulation to help these cakes withstand DPD courier handling. The cakes will be shipped in a brown outer box as well for extra security. The cakes are also packed with extra ice packs to help keep them cool to ensure they arrive looking great. The cakes DO NOT require refrigeration for safety so it does not matter if the the cool packs are defrosted on arrival. The cool packs are to keep the cakes looking great during transit. There is no fresh cream in these cakes.
Our handcrafted cakes will stay at their best for up to 7 days from delivery.
If you are not serving your cake straight away, make sure to store it in the fridge in its protective bag or an airtight container.
To display and enjoy our cakes at their best flavour and texture we recommend the following cake care; remove the white collar whilst your cake is still cold (ideally as soon as it is taken out of the fridge), then allow your cake to come to room temperature for 6-8 hours. (but please make sure it's not left in a space that is too warm !) This may take a shorter or longer time depending on the temperature of your room.
Once the buttercream has a soft, whipped double cream like texture your cake is ready to eat!
If you don’t let your cake return to room temperature, the sponge will seem dry and the buttercream will be hard and flavours dulled.
If you order a personalised disc this will be in a separate pouch placed inside the orange cake box. Please remove it and place it onto top or side of your cake before serving.
