What is the gel pouch in my afternoon tea?Updated 25 days ago

We keep our clotted cream chilled by popping it in an insulated, cool pack pouch.

With the cream we have a frozen self-contained gel pack. As it defrosts, the inner contents will resemble a clear gel. It is non toxic but not meant to be ingested. This is safe to dispose with normal household waste. 

The gel is inside its own sealed pouch and as it defrosts the contents of the pouch will become a clear gel inside the packaging and this should not leak out.

You should open the pouch, leave the gel pack inside (it isn't tasty) and just take the cream out to enjoy (much tastier!)
