Due to the differences in sponge weight and how that weight distributes across the tiers, carrot cake, with its wonderfully moist and soft structure it isn&apos;t able to support the layers above it when used in the bottom tier (or bottom two tiers of a four-tier cake).</p><p>This is all about making sure your beautiful wedding cake arrives in perfect condition and stays looking stunning right up to the moment you cut into it together. We&apos;d rather be upfront now than have any wobbles on the big day!</p>

Due to the weight differences between the types of sponges and the weight distribution of the tiers, we can't put carrot cake sponge on the bottom tier because of its moist and soft structure. This is to make sure your cake arrives looking beautiful and stays perfectly displayed until you're ready to slice into it with your new husband or wife!
